Refund Policy

1. General policy

The Annual Subscription provides immediate access to paid digital features.

Except as stated below or required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. Canceling prevents the next automatic renewal but does not ordinarily result in a refund for the current paid term.

We do not ordinarily provide refunds for:

  • accidental purchases;
  • failure to use the Service;
  • dissatisfaction with a forecast or publication outcome;
  • forgetting to cancel before renewal; or
  • ordinary cancellation during a paid term.

We do not ordinarily provide partial or prorated refunds.

2. Refund eligibility

A refund may be provided in the following circumstances:

  1. You were clearly charged more than once for the same Annual Subscription.
  2. A verified technical problem on our side prevented you from using paid features and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time.
  3. A refund is required by applicable law.
  4. We permanently discontinue the Service and cannot provide access for the remainder of your paid term.

For duplicate charges or technical access problems, you should contact us within 30 days after the charge. This 30-day period does not shorten any mandatory statutory right.

3. Service discontinuation

If we discontinue the Service for operational reasons, we will either:

  • continue providing access until the end of the paid term; or
  • refund an amount corresponding to the period during which the Service cannot be provided.

4. Mandatory withdrawal and cooling-off rights

Some countries or regions provide consumers with mandatory withdrawal, cooling-off, renewal-cancellation, or refund rights.

We will honor those rights where they apply. Where applicable law allows such a right to be lost or reduced only after the user expressly requests immediate access and acknowledges the legal effect, we will not rely on any loss or waiver unless the required consent and acknowledgment were obtained before purchase.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@journalimpactforecast.com from the email address associated with your account.

Please include:

  • your account email address;
  • the approximate charge date;
  • the Stripe receipt or payment reference, if available; and
  • the reason for the request.

We may ask for reasonable information needed to confirm the payment and account ownership.

6. Refund processing

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method.

The time required for the refund to appear depends on Stripe, your card issuer, and your payment method.

If a full refund is issued, paid access ends when the refund is processed. If an unused-period refund is issued because the Service has been discontinued, access ends when the Service is no longer provided.

7. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
